Mathesis - 2014, Solo Show, Cambridge Centre for the Arts

The process of painting and assembling this show was a process of coming undone. I had to look deep inside me at the points and places in my life when I faced the biggest changes, in order to find and understand my inner feminine. Life is a constant evolution—we are constantly morphing as human beings. Women and men face many of the same moments of transition, but I think some moments stand out more for women, and we celebrate or remember these differently from men.
Birth, menses, virginity (and the loss of it), sex, self-love, motherhood, death, and the constant journey of finding oneself are celebrated here in an abstract style.
